Hello! I’m Meghan Hennessy, Clinical Social Work Candidate, MSW, Reiki Master, sound healer, plant medicine ceremonialist & yoga teacher- I am so happy you are here!
A Little About Me..
I am from the midwest, raised in Ohio. I received my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
My specialties include healing the body from trauma, anxiety & depression through various somatic healing approaches that includes Somatic Experiencing, healing touch (also known as co-regulating touch), Reiki, Internal Family Systems, yoga, breathwork, sound healing, psychedelic assisted psychotherapies, meditation & Somatic Yoga Therapy. I currently offer Somatic Yoga Therapy in a group transformational healing container, which is offered virtually three times/year.
I am trained in Radiant Body Yoga, a technological approach to healing the body through breath, movement, kriya, mantra, and various types of mediative practices. I have over 900 hours of formal yoga teacher training that includes hatha, yin, restorative, and yoga nidra. I combine ancient teachings and practices with modern day mental health that has been shown to provide deeply profound spiritual, mental, and physical healing of the body, mind, & spirit. I have studied with shamans, gurus, and masters in various fields of healing to learn the most effective ways of healing the body of trauma & suffering. The tools I share with my clients are some of the best and I can’t wait to share them with you!

My favorite time of the day is 6:15 AM. My favorite day of the week is Tuesday. At 6:15 AM on Tuesday, I attend Meghan Henessey's sunrise yoga class. I have been attending yoga classes at Samadhi Yoga in Denver for the past 12 years. At times, I have taken as many as 10 classes a week. Sadly, now that I live 80 miles away in Manitou Springs, I am lucky if I can attend a couple of classes a week at Samadhi.
The one class that I rarely miss is Meghan's class. I have been privileged to watch Meghan mature into a wise and accomplished teacher. I have been taking her sunrise classes for over 10 years. We, who attend regularly, say that her physical practice is sneaky challenging. And, although I enjoy her movement practice, it is the meditative experience that I love. She opens by turning off the music and grounding us into the present moment using various pranayama techniques and her soothing voice. She is wise beyond her years and knows that yoga is not really about the physical practice. Instead, she guides her students to focus on clearing their minds and to be in the present moment on and off the mat.
Meghan is truly a healer at heart. She has used the practice of yoga to clear her own obstacles and is sharing this profound practice with the rest of us, not just at 6:15 AM on Tuesdays, but in every moment of her existence.
