Hi there! I’m Meghan Hennessy, and I’m thrilled to guide you on your healing journey. With a diverse background as a social worker, yoga teacher (500-CYT), somatic therapist trained in Somatic Experiencing, sound healer, Reiki Master, and facilitator of coregulating touch, I’m passionate about helping you tap into your body’s incredible capacity for healing and transformation.
My adventure into the world of healing began as a social worker where I eventually discovered the mental and physical healing aspects of yoga. I was amazed by how movement and breath could unlock deep emotional release and inner peace. I've studied with numerous world renowned yoga teachers, healers, and mystics, which led me to discover Somatic Experiencing, a revolutionary approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine. Somatic therapy is all about harnessing the body’s natural ability to heal trauma, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. By tuning into your body’s sensations and following its wisdom, we can gently release stored tension and trauma, paving the way for deep and lasting healing.
I tailor our work together based on your unique needs. Typically, a session with me looks like some combination of somatic body work (Reiki and/or coregulating touch), learning tools to ground and regulate your thoughts and emotions, breathwork practices, tuning fork & sound healing therapy, yoga techniques, as well as specific trauma healing techniques to release your body from emotional and developmental trauma. Other modalities I use are IFS, mindfulness, psychedelic integration, embodiment practices, and psychodynamic approaches to understand your unique nervous system.
My mission is to help you reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom, heal on all levels—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and live a life that feels vibrant, peaceful, and authentically you. I can’t wait to support you on this incredible journey!
